I had a very good birthday

I woke up to find this note from Jack on my birthday gift.

My mom sent me a fax at work and 'outed' me.  I hadn't told anyone at work that it was my 40th birthday.



Birthday cake #1 - a 4 layer chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.  My friend made this for me and even used my favorite peanut butter m&m's to write out '40'


birthday cake #2 - some cake that Jack picked up in the city.  I'm sure he picked it out because *he* likes the icing ;-)


birthday cake #3 - my traditional carrot cake.  I usually buy myself a small carrot cake on my birthday but Jack picked this one up as well.  I think he went shopping when he was hungry ;-)


and, birthday cake #4 - another friend made me a chocolate cake, and decorated it will 40 m&m's!  These girls know me so well :-)
